Ephesians 3

Paul’s Stewardship

1 For this reason I, Paul, ^athe prisoner of ^bChrist Jesus ^cfor the sake of you ^dGentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the ^estewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you; 3 ^fthat ^gby revelation there was ^hmade known to me ⁱthe mystery, ^jas I wrote before in brief. 4 ^{▼▼ Lit To which, when you read}By referring to this, when you read you can understand ^lmy insight ^{▼▼ Lit in}into the ⁿmystery of Christ, 5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy ^oapostles and prophets ^{▼▼ Or by}in the Spirit; 6 to be specific, that the Gentiles are ^qfellow heirs and ^rfellow members of the body, and ^sfellow partakers of the promise in ^tChrist Jesus through the gospel, 7 ^uof which I was made a ^vminister, according to the gift of ^wGod’s grace which was given to me ^xaccording to the working of His power. 8 To me, ^ythe very least of all ^{▼▼ Or holy ones}saints, this grace was given, to ^aapreach to the Gentiles the unfathomable ^abriches of Christ, 9 and to ^{▼▼ Two early mss read make all know}bring to light what is the administration of the ^admystery which for ages has been ^aehidden in God ^afwho created all things; 10 so that the manifold ^agwisdom of God might now be ^ahmade known through the church to the ^airulers and the authorities in ^ajthe heavenly places. 11 This was in ^akaccordance with the ^{▼▼ Lit purpose of the ages}eternal purpose which He ^{▼▼ Or formed}carried out in ^anChrist Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and ^{▼▼ Lit access in confidence

14 For this reason I ^awbow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom ^{▼▼ Or the whole}every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to ^aythe riches of His glory, to be ^azstrengthened with power through His Spirit in ^bathe inner man, 17 so that ^bbChrist may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being ^bcrooted and ^bdgrounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with ^beall the ^{▼▼ V 8, note 1}saints what is ^bgthe breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know ^bhthe love of Christ which ^bisurpasses knowledge, that you may be ^bjfilled up to all the ^bkfullness of God.

20 ^blNow to Him who is ^bmable to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, ^bnaccording to the power that works within us, 21 ^boto Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations ^{▼▼ Lit of the age of the ages}forever and ever. Amen.
